Receiving Instagram group spam message requests? Here's how to stop it.
Lauren Beeching
The joys of Instagram bots and spam accounts on Instagram, there seems to be more by the day.
You may notice in your Instagram message requests that you’re added to group accounts with spammy/fake accounts. Our Honest London Instagram was added to easily 30+ per day, it’s really annoying.
Why do they do this? There’s no certain answer but we would guess this is to help the bots algorithms for people who purchase followers. If the bots have ‘active’ accounts (simply by you accepting the request or replying “stop adding me”) the sellers can advertise as “real following” for sale.
ANOTHER reason why you should never purchase following.
Anyway, here’s how to end this annoyance.
