LET’S ENROL AT TIKTOK UNIVERSITY
You’re getting schooled – by TikTok. Ready your papers because classes at the Creative Agency Partnerships (CAP) University by TikTok are starting soon.
The CAP is a five-week program aiming to teach enrolees everything they need to know about succeeding as a creative on TikTok. They’re offering (1) class per week, starting with TikTok 101 and getting familiar with the app to Collaborating with Creators and upping your marketing game.
TikTok announced that, with CAP University, “…enrollees will be able to lead conversations with their clients, concept and create for the platform, and continue driving their clients’ business forward.”
The first semester begins on April 19, and they’re open for enrollees now.
TWITTER’S NEWEST BOARD DIRECTOR: ELON MUSK
Elon Musk has gained a chair at the big table at Twitter, after purchasing a 9.2% stake in the company and making him the largest shareholder yet. NGL, that’s a boss move.
And Musk replied to this, saying that he’s looking forward to “…make significant improvements to Twitter in coming months!”
He then created a poll and asked if users of the app wanted an edit button.
It’s what they’ve been asking for years now! Will this dream finally come true?
Musk is to serve Twitter as a Class II Director until 2024.
Update: On the morning of the 9th, Elon Musk’s supposed first official day as a member of the board, he announced to the Twitter team that he will no longer be joining them. CEO Parag Agrawal updated Twitter users on this via a tweet last April 11.
TWITTER TESTS ‘UNMENTIONING’ FEATURE
It’s like walking out of a room in the middle of a conversation, but without all the awkwardness.
The platform is working its kinks to figure out a way for its users to ‘untag’ themselves at any tweet that mentions their handle. The prompt says “Leave this conversation,” and the feature aims to bring all users peace of mind, giving them the option to step away from unwarranted conversations.
This feature is available on their web app for selected users – for now.
LEARN ASL WITH SNAPCHAT’S NEW LENS
Snapchat has partnered with SignAll and launched a new lens to the app called ASL Alphabet Lens.
“It’s a first of its kind Lens experience that inspires Snapchatters to start learning American Sign Language!” said Snapchat in a recent blog post.
The lens allows you to practice the ASL Alphabet until you learn how to fingerspell your name! You can then test what you’ve learned with the included games.
Snapchat strives to improve experiences for every user. Begin your ASL journey today!

LAS VEGAS GOES PURPLE FOR BTS CONCERTS
Welcome! First time at Borahaegas?
The Entertainment Capital of the World has become a purple wonderland to celebrate BTS performing live in the city.
The Las Vegas Twitter account even temporarily changed its name to Borahaegas, combining Vegas + “Borahae” meaning “I Purple You,” a saying BTS and the BTS ARMY say to each other. And thus, the city lit up purple.
Along with this, there’s also a light show featuring BTS songs at The Bellagio Fountain Show, a BTS pop-up store at Area 15, BTS-themed hotel rooms, and cute BTS-inspired treats at selected cafes and restaurants.
The Permission To Dance On-Stage in Las Vegas runs through April 8, 9, 15, and 16 at the Allegiant Stadium.
