Why Honest London Celebrity Management is different
When we set out to create Honest London, the initial priorities was having happy long term clients and providing a great and friendly place to work.
We’re pretty much the outcasts in the UK when it comes to celebrity booking/management agencies, our history isn’t public and I don’t believe any ‘competitor’ knows about us or our work thanks to our privacy on clients. If you’re looking for an agency who knows everyone in the celebrity management industry, we’re not the agency for you. We focus on our clients and producing great results, not the glam stuff so much… Not that we’re invited anyway.
We originally got into celebrity work through personal friendships which developed and grew thanks to word of mouth, we never planned to work with celebrities… But here we are!
As of today, we host one of the largest rosters in the UK with our celebrity booking agency, Request London.
What made us create Honest London?
We created Honest London simply because we struggled to find a collaborative and friendly agency who provided legitimate results. If it was a bad social media month, we’d see impressions being fobbed off as a big win and if PR was low… We would hear the classic, loads of press is being worked on for the following month. Our favourite fake result will always be website page views being accidentally labeled as unique users.
How hard can it be to be transparent with paying clients? Spoiler: It’s really easy and clients are actually ok if there’s a dip in numbers once in a blue moon.
We have a marketing and PR background with both brands and celebrities which means we know the mechanics that you need to grow accounts rather than rely on a celebrities name/image to produce growth. You will never hear from Honest London that growth has been slow lately due to lack of public relations from the celebrity recently… We didn’t have that excuse with the health and safety information service B2B brand we worked with. Funnily enough, PR wasn’t huge with them.
What makes our celebrity management different?
I think the key difference is that we’re a team of people who never had a goal of working with celebrities, from experiences of working in other celebrity focussed agencies - people who want to work with famous people have very different objectives to those who didn’t plan on it.
We love working with celebrities for the diversity of work and nice long term relationships. We don’t do it for self gain, we keep ourselves very private and in hindsight no one should know the name “Honest London” except for the clients. You’ll never find a celebrity client promoted on any Honest London platform, your privacy is more important than our self gain.
Does this bite us in the ass? 100%. We wouldn’t trust us if we found Honest London on Google, which is why we’re lucky we can rely on recommendations for celebrity management.
When you look at our Instagram, you won’t know who the Founder is or the team. There’s no self promotion, no verified blue ticked staff members. We’re marketing and PR people with a good judgement on public opinion.
We’ve been both agency and client side and have learnt what is awful and great about agencies, we’ve used our vast experience to produce an agency we believe is approachable, friendly and reliable. We won’t wow you with predicted results, we’ll be honest and share what we believe is realistic with a “goal” target.
We don’t like stress so to avoid this, we are transparent from the start so we don’t have to ever worry about disappointed clients.
